Scottish Greens vital to beating Reform

Every Scottish Green MSP is vital to securing a pro-independence majority and beating Reform

Scottish Greens co-leader Gillian Mackay has hailed a landmark new poll by IPSOS Mori that shows voting for the Scottish Greens is the only way to secure a pro-independence majority and stop Reform.

The poll puts the party on course for a historic breakthrough with 18 MSPs, putting them ahead of Labour and neck and neck with Reform UK to be the largest opposition party.

Scottish Greens co-leader Gillian Mackay said:

“This poll shows that Green votes are vital to securing a pro-independence majority and taking on the hateful politics of Reform UK.

“A vote for the Scottish Greens is a vote for a fairer, greener and kinder Scotland.

"We have shown that already, with Green MSPs introducing free bus travel for everyone under 22, scrapping peak rail fares and securing free school meals for thousands more children.

“With more MSPs we can go even further, expanding free bus travel to everyone, delivering free childcare for every child over 6 months and taking climate action that will cut bills and protect our planet.

“This election is too important to leave to chance. Every vote for the Scottish Greens can help to elect MSPs who will stand up for independence, support public services and stop Reform.

“On Thursday, we can demand better by voting for the Scottish Greens on the peach-coloured regional ballot.”
