Let's demand better

Scotland can demand better by voting Green and stopping Reform UK

The politics of hope can defeat the hateful and divisive policies of Reform UK, says Scottish Green co-leader Gillian Mackay.

Gillian has urged people across Scotland to demand better by voting for the Scottish Greens with their regional peach-coloured ballot to secure the biggest possible pro-independence majority and shut out Reform.

Gillian said:

“We don’t have to accept a broken status quo. It’s time to demand better.

“Every vote for the Scottish Greens is a vote for a fairer, greener and independent Scotland and to reject the hatred and division of Reform UK.

“We have a proud record of change. With only seven MSPs we delivered free bus travel for everyone under 22, ended peak rail fares and wiped out school meal debt.

“With more Green MSPs will deliver free bus travel for everyone across Scotland, climate action to insulate homes and cut energy bills and free and flexible childcare for every child over 6 months. We’ll do it by making the super-rich pay their fair share.

“In comparison, Reform UK will try to play communities against each other and do the bidding of their multimillionaire donors.

“Every vote will be crucial. The polls show that all over Scotland it will go right down to the wire between the Scottish Greens and reform. It is vital that we beat them and that hope beats hate.

“The only way to ensure a pro-independence majority and to stop Reform and their wealthy friends is a record vote for the Scottish Greens.

“Scotland can demand better by voting for the Scottish Greens on the regional peach-coloured ballot today.”
