Greens on course for beating Labour and Reform

New poll puts Greens on course for beating Labour and Reform.

A groundbreaking new poll from IPSOS Mori shows the Scottish Greens could be on course for second in the Scottish election with 17 MSPs, finishing ahead of Reform on 15 and Labour on 14.

Party co-leader Gillian Mackay said:

“This would be a huge breakthrough for the Scottish Greens. If we can make these numbers a reality it would transform Scottish politics overnight.

“Scotland deserves better, and we are the only party with plans to deliver it.

“We have already shown the value of voting Green, with free bus travel for young people, an end to peak rail fares, free school meals for thousands more pupils and record support for Scotland’s iconic wildlife and nature among the crucial changes we have achieved in the last few years alone.

“If we can double our MSPs we will be in a far stronger position to deliver on policies to tackle the cost of living crisis, including free bus travel for everyone and the biggest expansion of free childcare for a generation.

“It would also allow us to ensure we make the investment that is needed in Scotland’s environment and clean, green energy to get us away from costly and damaging oil and gas.

“If people want to secure a pro-independence majority in our parliament and to keep out the hateful politics of Reform then it is crucial that we deliver a record number of Greens MSPs and the positive change that Scotland needs.”
