Common Swift in flight

We need Swift action to ensure the survival of Scottish birds.

Swifts are incredible birds that migrate from Africa every year, but they are in serious decline and a major reason is because their nesting sites on buildings are under threat.

We can design our communities in a way which supports wildlife to thrive, and makes space for the birds that also call Scotland home.

A simple amendment to the Natural Environment (Scotland) Bill would require all new buildings above a certain size to install a low cost swift nesting brick as part of their design, helping reverse the decline of swifts and other small birds.

Introducing swift bricks is a small and easy act of kindness and conservation that supports nature and makes our communities more liveable for birds.

Support our call, and join us in asking the Cabinet Secretary to take action today!
