Kirsten speaks about the relationship between poverty and housing in East Kilbride
The lack of social housing and the cost of private renting is pushing local people into poverty with East Kilbride East having the second highest levels of child poverty in the town. Local Green candidate, Kirsten Robb, is committed to addressing this by campaigning for private sector rent controls, building more social housing and bringing empty properties back into use.
