Originally from Glasgow, I have lived in Kirkcaldy for 11 years.
I am an engineer by profession, working in Edinburgh.
I put myself forward as candidate as I strongly believe that Fife council would benefit hugely from a Green voice dedicated to putting power back where it belongs - in the hands of local people.
For far too long Fife communities, such as Buckhaven, Methil and Wemyss Villages, have fallen further behind.
As a result poor housing and joblessness are rife, yet never gets truly fixed.
The Greens offer a unique solution that addresses both issues – employ locals to make substantive, lasting improvements to local housing and the local environment. The old over-centralised parties will never deliver this, so please consider voting Scottish Green Party on May 4th.
