White House carrying out gangsterism at home and piracy at sea

The Scottish Greens have condemned Donald Trump’s invasion of Venezuela and the use of Wick airport in yesterday’s military operation in the North Sea.
Below is a statement from the party's spokesperson for external affairs, Patrick Harvie MSP.
Patrick said:
“Scotland’s infrastructure and assets should not be used as part of a Trump foreign policy that looks increasingly like gangsterism on land and piracy at sea.
“The First Minister must give clear assurances that assets his Government owns will not be used like this again.
“The way that the Trump administration has acted in Venezuela is immoral and illegal and shows utter contempt for Venezuela's sovereignty.
“Obviously we support sanctions targeted at the Russian shadow fleet, but nobody seriously believes the Trump administration is motivated by a desire to enforce international law. Their seizure of assets is explicitly about self-interest, and is part of a deeply concerning pattern of behaviour.
“Since Trump was elected he has enabled Vladimir Putin’s aggression against Ukraine, and armed Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. Trump’s America is increasingly acting like a rogue state, threatening to return the world to an era of naked imperialism.
“The escalation of threats towards Greenland is part of this same disgraceful pattern, and all leaders need to stand against it. We cannot normalise the threat that has been unleashed by this lawless White House.
“It has been shocking to see Keir Starmer’s complicity with this dangerous agenda.
“It is long past time that the UK Government recognised the far right government in the US as the security threat that it so clearly is, rather than pretending that the assumptions of the past still hold."
