Responding to the First Minister’s statement this afternoon, Scottish Greens Parliamentary Co-Leader Alison Johnstone MSP said:
“I welcome confirmation from the First Minister that the Scottish Government will update its guidance to allow additional exercise. This will provide huge benefits for physical and mental health and will come as a particular relief to those without their own garden.
“It’s vital that the underlying stay at home message continues to apply here. We all know how important this message is in protecting our health service and saving lives. The Prime Minister’s reckless decision to drop this message in favour of a vague slogan is dangerous and risks muddying the waters.”
