ROCKSTAR: Greens backs workers against union busting game developer

Green MSPs Ross Greer and Patrick Harvie joined workers at a picket outside Rockstar Games' office in Edinburgh this afternoon to stand in solidarity with workers unfairly fired for exercising their right to form a trade union.
Patrick said:
“Rockstar has produced some of the most profitable products in the history of entertainment media, and it is the workers who have written, coded, and developed those games who are responsible for that.
"It is the workers who make these games so profitable and legendary amongst the gaming community.
“Yet, the company has sacked dozens of them for simply exercising their right to unionise and demand better terms and conditions in their workplace, and Scottish Greens are proud to stand alongside those workers in Edinburgh today.
“Rockstar should reinstate all those workers unfairly sacked, formally recognise their union and get around the table to agree on terms, conditions and wages for all their employees.
"The Scottish and UK Governments also need to make clear that support for Scotland’s games sector must result in high standards and fair working conditions.”
