Only Scottish Greens are offering brighter future for Aberdeen

Speaking ahead of the Aberdeen South by-election, Scottish Green candidate Jorg Shelton-Eckstein urged residents to demand better for Aberdeen by voting Green.
Jorg was a PhD student at Robert Gordon University and has a background in computer research. He has also dedicated 4 years to volunteering locally with a mental health charity.
Jorg said:
“I’m proud of the positive campaign that we have run and our hopeful message about the fairer, greener and better future that we can have for our city.
“For too long, Aberdeen and the North East have been ignored by governments in London and Edinburgh. We have been treated as a playground for oil and gas companies that have profited from our city and exploited our workers for decades.
“We can have sustainable long-term jobs and put money in people’s pockets, but it will need investment and support from the Scottish and UK governments.
“In this by-election, we have seen establishment parties competing to give away even more of our city to fossil fuel interests, rather than recognising the huge potential that we have to do things differently.
“I am urging voters to demand better for people, planet, and Aberdeen by voting for the Scottish Greens today.”
