Only Greens have plans to deliver for people and planet

Greens have vision for people and planet.

Only the Scottish Greens are offering the bold change that Scotland needs, says party co-leader Gillian Mackay.

With parliament in dissolution, Gillian and her co-leader Ross Greer will be travelling Scotland presenting their vision of a fairer, greener Scotland.

The party’s co-leaders will be joining members in Edinburgh tomorrow to kick off their election campaign.

Gillian said:

“Scotland can have a great future, but we are being held back by a tired, broken and incompetent Labour government and an SNP who won’t take the action that is needed.

“Far too many people are working round the clock and aren’t seeing the benefit. Bills are soaring, our climate is in crisis and household costs like food and childcare are going through the roof.

“But for the super rich, times have rarely been better. We’re the only party willing to say that we would tax them more to fund the services that our communities deserve.

“We have shown the difference that voting Green can make. It is the Scottish Greens who delivered free bus travel for young people, scrapped peak rail fares for commuters and delivered free school meals for thousands of children.

“With more Green MSPs we can build on this success and do even more to support people through the cost of living crisis.

“Over the weeks ahead we will be speaking to communities all across Scotland, listening to them and sharing our plans for a fairer, greener and better future.”
