MSP Applauds Bearsden Academy COVID-19 Efforts

MSP Ross Greer has lodged a parliamentary motion to congratulate Bearsden Academy for their work in producing protective masks for GPs and other frontline healthcare professionals.

The school’s Design Technology Department stepped in to help by using their 3D printer to make the masks, which are in high demand to protect health service workers and reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Greer, Scottish Green MSP for the West of Scotland and a former pupil of Bearsden Academy commented:
“Bearsden Academy are once again leading by example in answering this call. These masks are essential in the effort to tackle COVID-19 and  demonstrate how any group with a 3D printer can make a vital contribution right now.”
