Greens surge in STV poll
For immediate release 3 May 2011
Today's TNS-BRMB poll for STV shows the Scottish Greens up from 5% to 8% on the regional list, the best result yet for the party during the 2011 election campaign.
Patrick Harvie said:
"The momentum we've found on the doorsteps and in the streets is certainly showing up in the polls, and this would be the Scottish Greens' best ever result. We've run a positive campaign, offering the only costed and practical alternative to cutting jobs and public services. People want to know where the money is coming from to fund free education, they want warm affordable homes, and they want a Scotland that takes a different path to the coalition's ideological agenda.
"Only a strong second vote for the Greens on Thursday can deliver this vision."
