Greens ask public what a Green Scotland means to them

For immediate release 10 April 2011

The Scottish Greens today launched a new dedicated election website ahead of the first television and radio screening of their party election broadcast. The broadcast itself was also launched today on Facebook and Twitter ahead of its first airing on TV tomorrow (Monday 11 April). The website will be promoted throughout the broadcast, and asks the Scottish public to submit their reasons for giving their second votes to the Greens on May 5th. Visitors to the site will be able to post comments to Twitter and Facebook as part of the Scottish Greens' social media campaign.

Patrick Harvie said:

"Our election broadcast features people across Scotland who're giving their second vote to the Greens in this election, people whose campaigns we've supported, and people whose values we share. This innovative site will open that conversation up to everyone who wants a Scotland that delivers both social justice and a better environment, and let them tell us what they expect from Green MSPs in the next Parliament. The election's key debates are increasingly taking place on social media, particularly Facebook and Twitter, and this site plugs into both."
