It’s been inspiring to see so much Green activism building up in recent months, with local branches springing to life across the country.  Falkirk has been even more energetic than most with packed meetings, really determined campaigning against the threat of fracking, and a social media presence which shows a commitment to making politics positive and engaging to take part in.  I also hear stories of excellent cake, so I can’t wait to visit the branch.

Patrick Harvie – Scottish Green Party Co-Convenor

Congratulations to Falkirk Greens as they attain formal branch status and hold their first AGM. They have forged ahead with enthusiasm, organising informative, inclusive and fun events in the region. Their welcoming ethos and commitment to a better politics will continue to attract new members and I wish them all the very best.

Alison Johnstone – Scottish Green Party MSP

In my 25 years in the Scottish Greens I have come across some really inspiring activists and local groups but not many with the level of enthusiasm and commitment shown by the Falkirk Greens! In a few months, you have really shown a lead in giving the Greens a real presence in the Falkirk area and acting as an example to other new branches. I’m confident that this hard work – and, let’s face it, spirit of fun – will be rewarded in a strong Green showing in the Scottish elections in 2016 and the first Falkirk Green councillors in 2017.

Gavin Corbett, Convenor of the Scottish Greens Elections and Campaigns Committee and a Green councillor In Edinburgh.

Falkirk Greens captured the optimism of Green Yes & transformed it into a powerful force for real change. Enthusiasm, supportiveness and community spirit define Falkirk’s inclusive and original approach. We’re incredibly proud to support you all and look forward to seeing the branch flourish!

Good luck to Falkirk Greens. What a fine bunch of principled, inspiring & real people. Can’t wait to see what they achieve for the voters and citizens of Falkirk & the rest of Scotland. Peace & love
