Ross Greer writes to Home Secretary over Rohingya crisis

The situation of the Rohingya people in Myanmar is dire. Already a heavily persecuted minority, the Rohingya now face violence on an unprecedented scale, which some are describing as genocide. There have been reports of massacres in villages, homes destroyed, and survivors forced to flee. The UN estimates that over 123,000 people have fled to Bangladesh, with a further 400,000 people thought to be trapped.

It is vital that the UK does all it can to support Rohingya refugees. I have written directly to the Home Secretary, Amber Rudd, to ask what efforts the UK Government is undertaking to help the Rohingya people and to provide asylum in the UK. A copy of this letter is displayed below.
