Proposed ScotRail timetable traveling in wrong direction say Greens.

ScotRail are traveling in the wrong direction with their proposed new timetable according to the Scottish Greens.

The proposed changes would increase journey times on some key routes throughout Mid-Scotland and Fife as well as reducing the number of services across the country as a whole

The timetable is open for consultation until 1st October and Scottish Green Transport Spokesperon Mark Ruskell has encouraged all concered rail users to respond and make their views heard.

Mark Ruskell said: “In the face of a climate emergency public transport is more important now than it has ever been.

“We need to ensure that our train services are reliable, quick and affordable and any move to increase journey times is a serious backwards step.

“When the service is finally back in public hands next year it's important that we explore all avenues towards making services regular and cheaper so that as many people as possible have access to a service.

"In the mean time I would urge everyone affected by these changes to respond to the consultation and make sure their voice is heard."
