Scotland looks set to leave the European Union, but not by choice.

We voted to Remain and in big numbers, but it wasn’t enough to outweigh votes in the rest of the UK seeking to drag Scotland out of the EU.

It’s not over though. We must preserve our relationship with Europe, and we can only do this if the political parties in Scotland show leadership and work together.

Scottish Greens are calling on Holyrood to examine and exhaust every option for continuing Scotland’s close ties with Europe.

Join us today in making that call.

The European Commission has already confirmed that the proposals are impossible, stating that “frictionless trade is not possible outside of the Single Market and customs union”.

Greer backs call for UK Gov to provide clarity over rights of EU citizens

Mon 17 Jul, 2017

Ross Greer MSP, Europe spokesperson for the Scottish Greens, today (17 July) backed the call from the Scottish Government for clarity from the UK Government over the rights of EU citizens.

Ross Greer MSP said:

"It is an insult that the Repeal Bill bizarrely lists EU citizens' rights as a deficiency, so the Scottish Government is right to call for clarity. Under the Tories' plans, three million EU citizens across the UK could lose their rights without even a vote in Parliament, or without Parliament even being informed if a Minister considers it urgent.
